Anyone have experience with this seatpost or stem? I know the basics: Forged aluminum with carbon wrap, same on post, two bolt clamp on post, Selcof has generally positive reputation. Little info from real users available on the web. Calfeefly had some posts regarding them a few years back, but he hasn't posted for a few months nor responded to pm so... anyone else?

Why you ask? Need 29.4 setback seatpost; the Thompson doesn't have enough; have an aversion to carbon posts.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

Selcof makes great stuff. On the model in question, the carbon is mostly cosmetic, but the parts underneath are great stuff. I really like Selcof's two bolt attachment for how secure and solid it is. Some people complain that it is fiddly to adjust, but it doesn't take that long....and once it is set, it is going to stay in place. Everything from Selcof is nicely and accurately machined...and the hardware is of excellent quality.
