from branford:
Centaur Rear Derailleur Jockey Cage
Plates - Fits 2004 to current Centaur ONLY.
Set of two without bolts or jockey wheels. Medium length, 72.5mm, silver, steel inner and alloy outer plate. Also fits Veloce rear derailleurs. Spoke side plate also fits Record and Chorus rear derailleurs.

what does the above mean?

It means that they are selling both sides of a medium cage, with no bolts or pulleys.

Unless the cage you have is damaged, this would be an expensive change with no value. The short cage won't shift any better.

Nashbar has some Centaur RDs on closeout that you might want to check out.

Looks like you need the Chorus cage, then. $50 is lot to spend on a damaged RD, unless it's got low miles.
