It's cold in Orlando Bro. 47 degrees here now and the same 25mph wind you've got. We will hit 25 degrees at my house tonight.

thermometer in the car hit -18...

It probably warmed up to almost 10. Wind was calm until you hit about 11,500 feet. Then wicked. But, sunny and nice below.

Have a nice frost nip outline of the space between my goggles and balaclava!

Yep, it's a bit nippy out there now...but it will only last for a couple days, then the warmth will return. It'll be near 70º by Friday and then the mid-70's for the next week.

Hey, but they are calling for possible snow flurries for our area...

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL
303 PM EST WED JAN 2 2008

THURS...VERY CHILLY START TO THE DAY WITH NEAR RECORD LOW TEMPS AND WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH. ALSO KEEPING THE LIGHT PRECIP MENTION IN FOR THURS MORN AS MODELS CONTINUE TO INDICATE ONSHORE WINDS JUST ABOVE THE SURFACE AND BAND OF ENHANCED MOISTURE 850-925MB...COLD TEMPS AT H85 AND TEMPS IN THE 30S AT THE SURFACE...ALLOWING POTENTIAL FOR A FEW SNOW FLURRIES ALONG THE VOLUSIA AND BREVARD COUNTY COASTS...AND MORE LIKELY JUST LIGHT RAIN SOUTH OF THIS AREA. DAYTIME TEMPS WILL BE WELL BELOW NORMAL WITH MAXES IN LOW-MID 50S.

Commuted today- Low 30's, Flurries, 30mph winds, wind chill was in the teens.
Good news is I'm keepin' my resolution to ride 2 wheels more and drive 4 wheels less.

Ah well, from the Devil's playground down south... there's a couple of us forummers down here… last week we rode each morning (early) then holed up inside for the rest of the day. Over 4 days the temp was 40º, 41º, 43.5º, 39.9º. Celsius! What's that... oh from 104º to 110º. It was hot, damn hot.

My wife and I drove north out of Denver about 20 miles, found a good, clear country rode and had a great 25 mile ride. Yes, a little cold, but not bad.

I went for a ride on Monday...it was in the upper 40s and breezy. Hadn't ridden for two weeks. I was riding along and feeling strong and really enjoying it. Loved my wheels...loved my bike. Then rode along with the wind at my side and felt like a sailboat. On the way back, it was into the wind all the way. Went slow. It was still a good ride but it is amazing the way the wind can humble.

Had ice in the yard this AM. I think it's the first good freeze we've had since GW has been in office.

It makes me tear while biking to work this morning. Shouldn't have left the ski goggles home...I love hearing the ice crack by studded tires.

Yesterday, I rode in 20 degrees a day after 6" of snow. Slid out 3 x, but it was fun. I must have averaged 9 mph, but for snow packed streets it was fine
