Anyone have one of these? Dave Moulton sure likes him. I love the feather logo and the bike looks beautiful:

Hi,

I believe that Russ builds for others as well his own "brand." My understanding is that he builds the aluminum Simonettis in SoCal.

I've always been impressed with the Russ Denny bikes that I see here.

He used to build our team bikes - very light, Al and Scandium versions. They were great for their intended use...single season race frames.

I don't own one, but know people who do on Island Boys Racing and they like them. People actually do use them for more than one year. I imagine their longevity is the same as any other bike built with the same materials for whatever that's worth.

I've seen a couple of track bikes he built--I guess they are good tools for the job as they were being raced. The welds were not the most lovely to look at but Ferrari welds aren't usually pretty either.

I love crappy welds!

aluminum welds aren't supposed to look sexy. they're big by nature.
all this sanding and bondo-ing and double passing for looks has given real welds a bad name.

Crappy welds are the new black.

well black does disguise crappy welds better than white, for sure. BTW, remember I didn't say they were crappy. I said they weren't pretty and compared them to ugly but functional welds on Ferraris which are also pretty successful race machines.

itsa dramatization of an A.L. et manet ride. specifically the
moment when A.L. is about to fire'up all cylinders, come
around manet's billboardbutt and missile himself thru the
state line sign...
