Has anyone seen one of these in person? Here (http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=16942&category=2786) is what I'm talking about.

The flat top, grooves, classic bend, shallow drop, extended ends and reasonable price all sound appealing. The only real question is ramp angle? I would prefer something a little flatter up top. Of course, they could be rotated a bit, but I don't like more than about 10 degrees of slope on the bottom.

Can't tell from the images I've seen. It would be nice if more vendors would offere up a straight 3-view shots of their bars, in addition to the purty perspective view.

I'm also considering a Nitto 177 or Soba, since they have to eventually attach to a classic, 1" threaded fork. Would have to use a threadless-to-threaded adaptor with the Cinelli's. Seems like a cludge, over a straighforward quill stem.

That page you linked to may be a little off on the drop and reach dimensions. BTI, one of the big distributors lists the drop and reach as 144mm and 82mm, respectively.

Cinelli's site seems to back BTI up:

Go to this page and click on the "geometries" link:

Edit: Definitely go to the link - the format of what I cut and pasted got all jacked up in the process!!

Ok, now I'm super confused. It seems that Cinelli makes both the Graphis and Vai named bars, in both anatomic and classic round drops. From what I gather, the round drop bars get the "Palm" label?

Cinelli's site doesn't help any. Under "Graphis", they show a round drop and under "Vai", they show an anatomic drop. But, if you look under "Graphis bar new! 2008" you see an anatomic drop bar, and likewise, for the "Vai Palm New! 2008" you now see a round drop bar.

They show a side view for the round drop, Vai Palm, which seems to show a pretty steep ramp. The only side view I see for the Graphis shows the anatomic variety. Same profile?

Scratches head?

I feel your pain. With the exception of Deda, I have rarely seen a Euro bar maker's website accurately represent what they actually make and sell. For years ITM's site showed no evidence of round dropped bars when they actually made them in three or four different models. And many these companies seem to update their websites about as often as Halley's Comet comes around!
