I'm going to renew my license anyway. I think it's because I haven't been on the road in a month and my mind is in a shambles.

I'm having the 'yes I suck but I know what I did wrong and how to fix it' delusions. Easy to say when you haven't ridden up a hill in two months.

I thought the same thing. Old and done and long gone. Found myself riding between tape on dirt in the fall, sucking wind and thinking somehow that it was good and right.

Added back the road thing when I renewed for '08.

Told my doc and she said go for it.

So now it's doctor's orders.

Well, I've done it, too; renewed my license for the first time since 1999. Now I'm thinking about having my head examined. I am, at least, reasonably fit -- though I'd still like to lose another ten pounds. I guess I shouldn't complain. The proof will be in the putting when those Spring training races come around. Those 20-, 30-somethings that I usually ride with make it tough on this old man. Can't believe I let them talk me into this. :D It'll be fun.
