I suppose it would be kinda cool to make a full papier mache frame... after all, it's just fibres and glue... how hard could it be?
iirc the protagonist in one of William Gibson's books was a courier who rode a paper composite framed bike, "out of a factory in China...lighter, stronger and cheaper than anything the locals could do in alloy". That dude could see the future.
