for all cold and lonely ny yankee fans...huddling in a cold corner trying to think about next season...
the world championship trophy is on display in montpelier , vt.

swoop says i need to be kindler and gentler for 08 and as we in new england are warmed by basking in the soft, warm glow of a recent world championship i want to extend some of the warmth to our cold compatriots who are ny yankees fans.

so, please, come on up and enjoy.

best for the new year,
stevep

Hey Fukudome you. Boston fans are getting to be just as insufferable as their pinstriped east-coast brethren.

Sigh.... 100 years.

Hey Steve - is that trophy as pretty as this one? Here's a pic to refresh your memory

I've never been to Fenway, but don't be surprised if I make it there one day. Of course I'll put down some great beer before the game, walk over to the ball park, find a wall of the stadium, sniff it, get down on all fours, lift my leg and take a leak.

Maybe I get arrested, maybe not. Either way, it'd feel great. If you want to be a part of this, PM me, send me some tickets for next season. I'll be there and I'll bring the beer.

And to Yankee and Red Sox fans - plan on coming to Detroit next year to examine the championship trophy!

That doesn't make sense unless the Sox were on a road game there and brought it with them. :D

So after the Tigers win it all the Red Sox will personally deliver the trophy? That would be really nice of them!

I don't want stevep to hate me or think I hate his team (I don't)....

...but as seasons like this progress with one dominant team, I start to wonder where the surprise is lurking. If we'll see a dark horse rise up and ruin the day for t-shirt vendors everywhere. Minnesota? Old Man Favre? Jacksonville?

Enjoy your regional rivalry. My local NFL franchise is first-round roadkill.

Red Sox fan is like Oregon football fan.."didn't college football begin in the year 1994?"

To Red Sox Nation the first century didn't count. atmo.

At least you have a local NFL franchise. This town is a vast NFL wasteland.

Football is the only (pro) game in town in Indy lately,
with the Pacers in the dump and our baseball is AAA (Pirates farm).

Just trying to enjoy that Super feeling while I still can.
Might not be long, who knows?
no TDs for Brady last week? Can't play in the snow maybe? hmmm.

I was really impressed when I saw Bledsoe last night on the tv discuss how the team is focused on one game at a time. I think that they may win the series again.

Who's hot, who's not. I watch the box scores. ERA, Slugging, I watch it all.

It's summer. Ballparks. Games on the radio at work.

I'm a Fan, not a fanatic. If the Yanks, or Sox win, I still have to go to work on Monday. My taxes ain't going lower.

Like I said, I love baseball. Can't wait for spring training!

Red Sox fans have been good sports with their new trophy. They let Yankee fans clean the trophy to keep it sparkling and clean.
