There is a teacher at Jesse's old high school who is a retired united Airlines pilot. He has almost completed his certification to fly a DC-3 and has offered Jesse a chance to fly with him in the right seat once he gets checked out.

For a flight student that is an almost epic offer and even though he won't be able to actually fly it, the offer to ride in the right seat is still one that has his freinds quite jealous.
