Is the HSG ti CX straight gauge or double butted tubing?

http://www.serotta.com/technology/tubing.html - straight gauge.

http://www.serotta.com/hsg_ti_cx/index.html - double butted.

I'm confused.

I don't see any 'suggestion' when Serotta states "Lightweight and responsive bike frame formed from double butted 3Al/2.5V titanium main tubes and stays" in the product description. http://www.serotta.com/hsg_ti_cx/index.html

OK, I've deleted 'suggests' to avoid confusion about my confusion.

One link states double butted, the other link states straight gauge.....for the same HSG ti CX frame. Which is it? Thx. :-)

I believe the seat tube is straight gauge and the down tube is swaged, some would say that swagged is butting the tube. Serotta is saying they are using the PSTI tubing for the HSG Ti Cross which would start as a seemless straight gauge tube that is shaped so the outer diameter changes.

The HSG does not use the double butted tube set but neither is the tubing all straight gauge

"Lightweight and responsive bike frame formed from double butted 3Al/2.5V titanium main tubes and stays".

So is this wrong?

Still confused.

I believe it is as the 2007 HSG Ti cross frame was not double butted and the change for 2008 model is just the finish.

HSG Ti Road is gone for 2008.
HSG Ti Cross uses a mix of butted and non-butted tubes. The downtube on the cross bikes are oversized and ovalized at the BB and HT junctions for greater stiffness.
