this was my prediction from the KC weather thread.

"I predict Tim Johnson will win with JP second, Wells 3rd, Trebon 4th and Flux 5th. There, I said it."

It's "work" with an "s" at each end. Get it?

EFFFIN Delicious!!!!

I raced the B's on Thursday, and the Master's 35-39 on Saturday.

Within a span of 48 hours, the course changed drastically. It was like racing in one city, and then traveling to another.

When we hosted our team race on this same course back in October, it was blazing fast. Locally we all knew it would be a great course, but you never know what will happen when you put 2000+ people on it.

KLM did a fantastic job hosting and setting things up. There will be some changes that will need to be addressed for next year. All in all, I received very favorable comments.

My belief was that the venue was very balanced and that everyone had a chance, no matter hat kind of skill set they possessed.

Today the course changed with each passing race(and laps) We were camped out on the off camber hill after the stair climb urging, coaching, and cheering the riders up it. The Collegiate women's race was super entertaining. The middle of the pack mens Collegiate was fun to watch as each one tried a different lin through the frozen ruts. By the time the Elite women hit the course, there were so many of them sliding on their backside...but I swear, sometimes i think the women's races are more entertaining than the mens from the viewpoint of sheer guts.

Then men's race was crazy! I had my money on JP, but I guess a mechanical allowed for the TJ to attack and not look back. TJ looked really good, but so did JP and Wellsy.

Some thoughts:

"The Captain" eats metal fencing and still pwns the field
the first turn from the pavemnt to the grass was insane!
girls on cross bikes are hot
watching e-Richie race was cool!
nips of brandy before a race is a good and a bad thing
know what kind of fencing you are about to crash into
don't eat the yellow snow

As far as the name change...I am taking it under advisement. Sinatra is a possibility.

Made it back out on-site for the Mens Elite today, what a blast to watch those guys throw it down! I snapped about 200 photos (have to get them uploaded and share a link), but my personal favorite is the hand-up to Santa's elf on about the third lap of the elite race--classic stuff!
