Just wanted to offer a happy holiday thanks to all the posters here. This has been my first year back on the bike in many years. I started in March with too much weight and too little stamina. I knew very little about modern bikes and riding technique.
By reading along with all of you I managed to equip myself, loose over 50 pounds and do a number of centuries. You have both informed and entertained me through the year. Total mileage is just over 3,000 miles. Not a lot for some of you but a great deal for me.
A special thanks to Sandy for allowing all of us to follow his saga. You particularly have been an inspiration.
So thank you all for a good 2007 and I wish each of you a great 2008.
