I'm trying to complete a Campy equipped cyclocross bike with Record square taper cranks. The problem is I need a longer spindle to clear the chainstays. I think a Centaur's 111mm symmetrical spindle will work but is it a good quality bottom bracket? If not, or if it's average should I go for the big guns like a Phil Wood because I can get 110.5 ISO spindle? Do you think a 102 to 111mm will feel too weird going from road to cross bikes?

Thanks.

Velo:

If interested I have a Phil 110.5mm Ti BB that was recently been rebuilt and is not being used.

If interested, send me a PM.

Centaur is good quality and I doubt you'll feel the difference in width. Of course, the above poster's Phil sounds nice.
