The Campagnolo Wine Bottle Opener!
If you're like me, I have been eyeing that thing for 15 years or so. Every Christmas. Anyway, I'm here in Afghanistan, so I hope my wife does a good job of breaking it in.

I got it from probikekit.com, for about 150.00. Free shipping.

Next up is that Park pizza cutter.......

Your wife could send the opener to Serotta Pete on the East Coast, then to me on the West Coast and we'd do extensive in-field testing to make sure that it was broken in and working properly! :D

Hope things are going well for you.

we would send the corks to you to show it had been well tested. AND save a bottle of the best in celebration of your return,, (no you would not have to share it with us.....)

Happy holidays. PETE

Silver or Bronze?

There's a worthy poll if ever there was one...

Sorry Pete, I forgot about saving the corks as proof of successful operation. :p

Are they still making them out of aluminum or did Campagnolo downgrade to plastic somewhere along the way? I've seen an old aluminum one at the bicycle shop I frequent and it's absolutely beautiful.

They make both.

The plastic one's are smaller, come in some colours like red or black.
I'm not sure the big ones are aluminum, I think it's steel,
with a silver plating on it, or an antiqued bronze finish.

Congratulations:

I always wanted one in silver. So many toys, so little money ;)

I got one a couple years ago and love it. Congratulations! - post a garage door pic!

Besides it wipes the floor with Shimano's opener! :)

Good use of chainring bolts.
I've bought a few of those for gifts in the past, it's a gift that doesn't pass unnoticed.

I want the most expensive one Othan's got stashed somewhere.

I heard the Shimano one is better.

The Campy wine opener is the perfect complement to the the Park Tools TP holder.

NO! That one is a Sake opener, not a wine cork screw... Just so you know!
:D :D ;) :p

Got mine years ago at the then-annual Loose Screws -10% off everything sale.
Great to pull it on unsuspecting guests.
I got the pizza cutter as a gift, but it's a bit flimsy.
And, Longdaddy, thank you for your service.

I just used mine to open a nice bottle of white...(did I really say that??)

Mike at CYCLESPORT (CYCLESPORTONLINE.com) or 201-391-5269. Ask for the MIke (red wine -aka mckeon) price... :D
