Dr. Larry Einhorn, one of the IU Medical Center Physicians who helped cure Lance Armstrong of cancer, is doing research work on developing a blood marker which will help in detecting lung cancer far in advance of when it strikes.

In order to bring the research forward, he is in the process of raising funds to a level where the American Cancer Society kicks in their funding.

Dr. Einhorn's people contacted Lance to ask him come up to Indy to help kick off the fund-raiser.

Lance's people's reply was: Sure, for $50,000.

It doesn't sound consistent with everything else I've read about Lance's support for cancer research and survivorship.

Wonder how much money Lance will ask for kicking off Dr. Ferrari's fund-raiser on EPO and steriod research?

Joking aside, is this true? Where do you get the info? Maybe Lance's people did not know he is Dr. Larry Einhorn, and Lance never knows this request.

"sure, we'll kick it off with $50,000"

It does sound inconsistent with what I've heard about Lance supporting cancer causes.

I think I'll wait for the "real" story....

That has to be the case. Nobody, not even the evil Lance that some people seem to think exists could be that big a penishead.

Dr Einhorn does NOT need to talk to Lance's people for crying out loud. He is a board member of LAF .

It doesn't sound right to me. I'll wait to pass judgment.
