I will be assembling my 20th Ann. CSI soon enough, and I am set on a Shimano stem, for the bolt-less handlebar clamp.

Now which finish? I will fit a Cinelli 66 bar, with matching sleeve (anodised or polished).

I like the satin-finish one better, but you have to go with the one that fits better.

I like the matte finish better, too. My 20th anniversary CSI sported a Cinelli Grammo ti stem for many years. Now it has a Serotta ti threadless with the matte finish. The grammo seemed to have a semi-polished look, but not super shiny. Stem choice might also depend upon which headset you choose.

What finish is the seatpost in?

Rud,
Either a polished 25th Dura-ace or a satin areo Dura-ace.
As for the length fit, I have a few of these, so I can choose.

the seat post is the key

match the stem to the post-

personally- I would go satin finish and the aero post

If you've got the flexibility, I'm with Dirt here. A nice clear-annodized satin finish is always a classy touch. A high mirror-finish shine is nice, but expect that to fade after a few fair weather rides or a good amount of sweat. I roll with both on various rigs so I'm unbiased. Annodization is always better from a utilitarian perspective though.

gothard, if you pay the shipping costs,I will send you the 3t titanium stem that the bike was built with before you got it,stem length is 120,looked sweet on the bike & was much stiffer than the ti grammo. the Balls in your court,Merry christmas. Mark

what colour is the bike, headset, seat post. Pick which makes you happy when matched to the headset and the post

They both look great!!!

is the 66 a 26.0?

The Cinelli 66 is a 26.0
The bike is white
The group is a 25th anniversary Dura-Ace, with the polished finish. That is why I polished the stem (it was all scratched up anyway, not suited for elegant use as was). I also have a satin areo post (thanks Dirt). The saddle will be black, the tape red. Rims/tires are black.
Mark, thanks a ton, but I have a 3T pro Titanium in the drawers  .

My normal opinion would be satin, but now that you've mentioned the kit is polished...I'm not inclined to think that the polished Shimano stem is the better choice.
If it's marred, can you sent it out to be beadblasted and repolished? Congrats on the s-w-e-e-t ride!
