30 days in the hole. I saw Humble Pie (with Peter when he had hair) with Led Zeppelin as the headliner in '72.

It's why they call it 'dope'.

I saw zep and humble pie as well. I hate to think it was '72. Was Steve Marriot in Humble Pie, I can't remember.

Yep, he was the established rock star. Frampton was the wunderkind. I don't think the Geico commercial is much of a comedown from his solo career...

Thanks Ray!

I found it funny/cool. Made me chuckle.

Though, interesting to see him without the "hair". But hey, more power too him.

I remember rocking out to Frampton all the time as a young teen. It still irks me today when I hear the edited 5-7 minute version of "Do you feel Like I do". Just play the dang song the way it was meant to be heard! :crap:

When we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves agents no longer call with lucrative gigs...just sayin'. I thought it was good natured.

Whenever I see Frampton I think of Frank Zappa's parody of I'm in You -- I Have Been In You.

Frampton still tours. I saw him in a small venue a couple of years ago and he was very good.

I'm going to look for my old "Humble Pie Live at the Filmore" LP after seeing your post. That was a great tune.

and when the gigs go from worldwide tours to tv spots for cut-rate insurance, it might be time to stop laughing and find where you left that handgun. just sayin'. i mean, it was a good gig for the movie announcer, but the movie announcer guy isn't hanging around going to the gym with paul o'neill, either.
