Go for a ride:

Don't be fooled!! It's a staged photo, he's only riding a Serotta to get the forum's vote!! Just like he enlisted and volunteered to go to Viet-Nam to further his future political ambitions. That's why there are so many pictures of him from that era. He went to war, had a lot of pictures of himself taken and got out, forget for a minute that he also got wounded three times. I must have had some latent political ambition myself that I was never aware of because I took box'es and box'es of pictures when I was in. I wonder if those Abu Greab pictures were to further somebody's political ambitions.

Good luck brother John.

clearly he has something to hide. Why else would he eschew lycra?

He's showing the Sidi side of his character.

Am I correct in my beliefs that this Serotta is an Ottrot ST? Hard to tell when it is completely painted.

I passed him on a ride two week's ago going in the opposite direction. He gave a very pleasant hello and wave, more than most of the ****s around MA. I wonder what would have happened had I ridden up behind him and tried to pass the Tahoe and three motorcycle cops escorting him?

Nothing, as long as you said: "On your left!!"

I can hear Cheney (excuse the language) saying it now:

No one is to the left of Kerry!

There's a couple things that really bother me about this picture. The first is that it's so obviously staged to capture POTUS as he scoots past Old Glory. The second is that he's wearing sneakers, and using toeclips!

In all fairness, he is new to cycling. At least both candidates ride!

The black jersey is a little bulky also, maybe underarmour also makes kevlar :D Frank

In all fairness (can't believe I'm defending dubya), I don't see anything wrong with wearing sneakers if you're not going to clip in whilst mtnbiking. It's not like you need a really stiff or carbon sole that won't give you any kind of traction on rocks if you need to dismount quickly. Rat traps, however, wouldn't be my first choice. I use platform pedals so I can dismount quickly.

David S,

The cropping of the picture is great. You can't tell that Cheney just let go of W's saddle. I am glad to see that W has made it 10 feet without the training wheels. I think that Cheney made him use toe clips to prevent him from just quiting and waiting for his Dad to bail him out.
