Recent thread on ceramic BB bearing "upgrades" made me do this :cool: This is not a contest. Just wanted to put into perspective what various well designed and properly tuned setups look like on the bench. Pls. share yours.

This is a Phil Wood BB in great shape, broken in. Crank arms have about a .03gram (not much!!!) weight difference so I did not have to tape a penny out of sight to get them to fall dramatically (wink wink). Non drive arm is a Dura Ace and Drive side is SRM square taper.

I think this is fine. If I wanted to impress you I'd do same with my track bike using Sugino NJS cup and loose ball bearings but that's not the point. Below is a normal BB using cartridge bearings, wiper seals in a frigid garage (cold grease).
