Guys,

Is this a Saturday Sunday show for the public and a Friday day for the industry? Or a three day public show? It's a little confusing on the website.

I'm coming up. My last two trips to Portland had perfectly sunny weather, so I'm looking forward to seeing if the so-called rain really exists ;-)

Bay Area folks, Southwest has cheap tix from Oakland...

I'll be there -- evidently looking for greater happiness. Don't particularly think I'll find it at NAHBS...but you never know. Stranger things have happened. I'll settle for good times with good friends and some gluten free dining. I'll be in town from Thursday afternoon til Monday morning.

I'll be bringing a chaperon.
Be nice to him.
It's not his fault he's an acquaintance of mine (it might be his wife's...).
It IS however his fault he rides a Trek.
Our goal is to change that.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

From discussing with DW, Friday is industry only and Saturday and Sunday are open to the public.

That's what he told me.

Nope. I am flying in and out on my way to Scottsdale, AZ Saturday night. Well, sort of on the way. It'll be a 22 hour stay kind of thing.

friends. i found a new to me restaurant a short cab ride from the venue named mississippi station. great atmosphere, wine list and food. the wife and i had 3 glasses of good champagne and 2 plates between the two of us for $30. oh, and there's a bunch of other places on the street to spill into once done there.

Any chance for a ride with the group on any of the days? Either mountain or road would be cool. If so maybe I'll drive up or bring a bike. Wait my close friend that I'll be staying with has three of my old rides. Forget the driving unless somebody from Socal wants to share gas expenses.

Mississippi Station is great. That whole street had quite a few places within which you can do yourself much harm.

I have to work the weekend of the show and I am sure that I'll much regret missing the event and seeing our friends. Traveling isn't much fun these days, as I experience it--- crowds, delays, etc.---so I wish folks plenty of luck getting to Portland. Hoist a few for me.

I would love to be there.

It is an 8 hour drive ( which is do-able) or a 2 hour flight.

I have spent a lot this year on "Daddy" toys or trips so the thought of another weekend and more $$ on just me - may not go over well.

I'm still trying to sell the idea to the missus.....

I get back from a business trip on Thursday....turning around and taking off for Portland right away didn't go over so well when I broached the subject a couple weeks ago.

"Plan B" is to bring her along for a romantic weekend in Portland....kids stay home...she shops...I visit bike porn central....I'm still working on the presentation.

I bought my airfare today. Still fairly cheap from Burbank, Ca to Portland on Alaska Airlines non stop. 200 dollars.
