From the BikeSnobNYC comments:

I celebrate winter old school roadie style - by starting flame wars on bike forums.

C'mon, it's fun. Let's go over to the Serotta.com forums, and start talking about how great our Calfees and Sevens are.

They suck. I'd rather ride a Hello Kitty tricycle or a mutant turkey from the Island of Dr. Moreau than a Seven. And as for Calfee, that's a curse word where I come from -- "Your aunt is a Calfee!"

Only Serottas are good.

Entertaining site.....but he really needs to show some of his bikes.

Mangled fixed gear conversions with bad tape jobs are low-hanging fruit. I think to consider yourself a true "bike snob", you have to be in possession of some good goods.

he probably is on this forum all the time
since this place is the true source
for all things cycling...
ben should create a surcharge
for every idea originating here
that ends up on his blog!

Everyone knows that Serotta owners are rich, overweight, middle-aged guys who have more money than sense.

why?

Sorta reminds me of a large beergut in a small sweater.

Not a good look

I suppose that top tube pad is required if you can't stay on the saddle when you stop...

Here's another good one. This one is for when you've got that downhill deathgrip from 60mph winter headwinds. Use your head!

I'm all for removing logos from my components. But what do you do if they're annodized on or below the clearcoat? Tape over them!

I was just stuck in Barnes & Noble for a few minutes, waiting for my girlfriend. Picked up Bicycling magazine, and the first feature of the issue is a Bike Snob interview. He is sitting atop a KHS fixed gear w/ moustache bars and white deep V rims. Personal bike???

Are you sure that it's not used to flush?
