I know that it's been discussed previously but I can't seem to find the right thread, so who has experience with running tires larger than 23's with the Serotta F1 fork? I 've been very pleased with running Michelin PR2's for the last few years but would like to step in size to the 25's. If increasing to the 25's won't work on the F1, is there any down side to running a 25 just on the rear? BTW, the frame is a HC.

I'm running Conti Gatorskins 700 X 25's on an F1 with no issues.

the Michelin 25's wont fit without rubbing, the Cont 25's fit with a couple of mm's to spare and are more like a Michelin 23mm. The new Vittoria CX 25's fit but its a close fit.

On mine, Michelin Speedium 25's fit with out rubbing (are they a different size/shape than other Mich 25c tires?). My F1 is on a 2000 CSi, serial # c cs 51 1703.

I couldn't get a 25mm Michelin Pro Race under mine-

a 24mm Vittoria fit just fine

Michelin 25 won't work.

Space is real tight.... Run 23 Michelin's up front.

Believe me ...... I have an F1 and only Michelin's exclusively.

I run 25's in the rear and 23's up front ....

I put a wheel with a 28c Conti Ultra Gatorskin on my CSi and it is too big for the F1.

Thanks for the responses, I'll try running the Michelin PR2 25's in the rear and stick with 23's up front.

I have used a Michelin 700x25 tire with my F-1 fork, but it is a very tight fit with perhaps 2 mm of clearance under the brake calipers. The 23s fit no problem, and Michelin 23s are about as wide as most 25s made by other tire manufactures. So, I typically run Michelin 25s in the back and 23s in the front.

However, I recently put Vredestein Fortezza 23s on that bike, and they are much narrower than the Michelins. The have lots of clearance, but I don't know if the Vred 25s would fit in front because they might be taller than the Michis.

25 Michelin will work .... Problem is there is no space for crud.
Pick up any dirt and it will scrap the underneath of the fork bridge.
