Excellent question. I would think that would be between e-RICHIE and management of the other forum, which I never heard of. What would motivate placing that news on the Serotta forum? It only introduces speculation as to why this occurred, and as most of us have no clue, it seems both unfair to do such and obviously not the correct venue for such. In fact, the correct venue is where it occurred and where it should have stayed, in my opinion. On a transparent basis, it places a possible negative shadow on someone, which is probably totally undeserved. The posting is related to cycling in a most marginal way and not worthy of an OT post here. Why do it?

Yes, BBD gets it.
1) e-richie was never banned. It was another poster who "banned" him.
2) NYvelocity/Velocity Nation is nothing like this forum. The majority, I mean the majority of posts are insults and snipes against either other posts, riders pictured on the site, or people who never even post to the site. The thought that e-richie would be banned from that environment is ludicrous. That, I thought, was the joke.

Stephan Dolezalek was incredible. As a junior, he was a "senior killer" and would take a couple of minutes out of the best senior in a 10 mile TT. He won the Eastern BAR competition when most of the races were in New England and New York and he was traveling from Virginia.

Thomas Prehn was extremely disaplined in his training and tactics. He was the only junior I knew that could win in a solo break. The others always had a sit and and sprint mentality. In the winter, Thomas was religious about slow, steady training in a 42 x 19 or so fixed gear, while others (like me) wanted to go fast.

I had the fortune to ride with those folks, but wasn't nearly as talented or successful. Here's me up front a break in the 77 VA State road race, proudly riding for NCVC.

That's Nick Arenella on the outside wearing the white Brancale helmet (remember those) and Eric "Kyoo" Min a couple of racers behind. They were juniors back then doing the senior (2/3) race probably.

Nowdays Nick is a RE agent in Albuquerque and Kyoo runs the Sakkonnet team.

Seeing those vintage, errr, not that long ago pix. I hate the older loopy brake cables.

I said hate...Maybe too strong. But cables in space are, like, beyond vintage.

Here are my two boys in NH earlier in this Fall. If I get shoes on em' and put them on the ballot I'm sure they'll get some votes. Their positions on the major issues are more intelligent than most of the folks in tour buses up here.
They speak to the Lego and Thomas the Train caucuses.

They are afraid of stevep and run away from him when they see him.

i couldnt get those 2 to give me 5...

all they had was a nickel each.
roman keeps them on a short leash.

i think they must read the forum.
