Is that a pic of your bike taking a 'nature break'?

I'm waiting for a set of the bar tape from Ray. He says it should be ready for sale by the end of the year. Perfect, just in time for winter projects!

I have been remiss in posting pictures. I have this same leather wrap installed on my Ebisu Road (the orange one). Lays beautiful, feels fantastic, and I think it's gonna last near-forever. This bicycle also has the new-fangled Suntour 6 speed derailleurs and down tube shifters that "index" ---imagine that! Whatever am I going to do with that extra cog in the rear? But putting that aside, this is really nice stuff. It's waaaaay better than the Brooks leather wrap imhoatmo.

Thanks to all for the really nice feedback. :)

Will have wrap in production and available by riding season ! ;)
(if not sooner)

Wrap has several unique features ....

Impervious to water .... it cleans up with just lukewarm water
Edges are asymmetrical and chamfered for a smooth performance finish
Shock Absorbing backing with adhesive
REAL Top Grade leather ... no man made product feels like REAL leather
Just a bit tacky for a superior grip .... stuff grips back
Should take a lickin and keep tickin

Much effort and research has been expended on one contact point, the toeclip. In recent years, some innovation has spilled over to saddles/seats.

But bar wrap has remained rather static. Seems to me that this contact point
is also important and any new introduction must enhance performance, not
be aesthetically pleasing.

Ahneida-pal I am saving up my frn's and waiting for it to go on sale.

I just ordered 4 rolls of white Stella Azzurra Eleganza. I love the leather feel and find it very comfortable. Its only drawback is it wears pretty fast.

How many miles should this actual leather tape last. I would assume MANY??

There ain't no comparison .... This is real leather .... not glorified electrical tape. One can smell the leather.

For interested parties - I bought some elkskin from velo orange and it doesn't even come close. Ahnida Wrap is - well - superior in every way.

Initially just the honey brown .... Then black and then other colors.

The sky is really the limit, however darker reds, blues and greens are
preferable.

perforated and embedded cords + Logo's are also possible.
But we gotta start somewhere. It's tackiness can also be adjusted.
Off roadies could be offered a version that really grips. This is the version
I initially sent William.

I've experimented enough with the stuff to know it's a superior product.
The only open issue is longevity, but knowing it's genesis, I suspect it will
last and not cave in at the first signs of abuse. Again it's real leather.

I have a real leather wallet from Costa Rica that is 12 years old and is just
beginnig to show signs of wear.

It would show more wear if you put some FRNs in there to spend! :)

Black or blue (preferred) and I am DEFINITELY in for some.

That looks great.

I wonder how it would do under the rigors of cyclocross?

Just ask Uncle William .....

He has the juiced up or tackier version. It will stand up to cyclocross rigors.
Ya grip just will not slip. ;)

actually my wallet is stuffed with frns.

Takes an infinite supply of these Incredible Preserve shopping coupons to buy anything today.

Soon I'll need a wheelbarrow of frn just to buy a loaf of bread. and if I
leave the conglomeration unattended, I'll return to find the frn there and
the wheelbarrow stolen!
 :help:

Then I will modify my original comment.

Get me some dark blue and I'm in for 5 sets !!
