Does this forum have so many offensive spam posts!

I look at a few forums and none of them have the profusion of offensive p*rn and worse that seems so prevalent on here. Why so bad? Do the others just police themselves better?

It has gotten much better with the work James, Swoop, BB dave, Ginger, and Bruce have been doing. I am sorry that you find it offensive.

AS to prevalent, I think I would disagree with you on that one. As you can see from the deleted items - it has been minimum.

Suggestions are welcome on how to make it even better. We are using a firm called HOSTWAYS>

I think you guys are doing a great job. Thank you. Spammers are relentless, in my experience here I don't think I have ever seen more than one or two slip through and they don't last long. I don't spend much time on other boards and some are worse, some are better. We forumites must be a desireable demographic, we can all help out by not viewing or clicking on obvious SPAM, not ever. These guys are a small clan and they exchange lists, if you get paid a fraction of a penny/hit you gotta send a lot of spam, but you have to go to the site or click on the trap to get counted. So every successful hit attracts more spam. Unfortunatly forums like this one are a target rich environment, because they fly under the radar of browser based detection and prevention tools.

You guys do a wonderful job. However, I feel guilty hanging out here because I have no Serotta equipment.

I don't doubt the sincerity of the scrutineers but I dip into two other bike fora, a car forum and a very busy HiFi one. Not sone single spam post on any of these-and I'm not sure I have EVER seen one.

It's a trivial thing, I know they are easy to spot and ignore but it seems a shame.
