Report from a "high ranking TdF official."

Won't ride to focus on other grand tours and classics as well as to avoid rubbing other 5-time winners wrong.

Tailwind and Bill Stapleton are denying. Bruyneel was mealy mouthed.

Let's hope that this report was a special by Jayson Blair :p

If he writes it, take it to the bank. And I think it's great. I'd love to see him ride the Giro (he's already ridden the Vuelta) and some of the one-days.

Why not new challenges? He could teach that young pup Cunego a thing or two. And I think he'd look good in pink for a change!

I was under the assumption that the new contract with Discovery TV required LA to stay on the team for at least a year...but I gueass they didn't get him to commit to TdF exposure in the contract...always read the fine print.

Kevan,

Given the source, you know it's fair and balanced.

. . . Bruce, I was just trying to give Kevan a hard time. He's actually Bill O'Reilly's twin brother. O'Reilly is the family name. Kevan adopted a shorter version of his nick name as his last name.
