What brand it is?

Would you patch these light, thinner type tubes like the Conti Supersonics?

Thanks!

We don't use sticking patch kits down here in Miami........
Put a new tube in there....

Green > Al Gore. It's green to use patch kits, but you're right, I don't use them either.

How true! I would mail my used tubes in to a place that recycled them, if there was such a thing.

If I used patch kits, I'd use those. Why? The name of the company (Rema) ends in a vowel and that's so Italian. Yes, Italian patch kit FTW.

I take my used tubes to work and cut them up - I use them in emergency leak kits (if a pipe ruptures or has a leak you take the tube, wrap it over the crack/hole take pipe clamps / hose clamps and clamp over the hole and to either side. We don't use them often, but it beats tossing them into the landfill.

Patch kits...I carry one just in case I use up my last spare tube but... PITA - and the adhesive always seems to dry out.

Anyone else have uses for spent tubes?

While I always carry spare tubes when riding, I patch those that have flatted with a REMA kit. If the directions are followed, the patches seem to last forever.

Lately I have been carrying Scabs. They are small, very flexible, and easy to apply. Instead of using a rubber patch and glue that always seems to dry out just when I need it on the road/trail, the Scab is kinda more like a bandaid. I wouldn't trust it as a permanent fix but it does the trick and hasn't let me down when I am out for a ride. Truth be told, I also carry extra tubes both on road and offroad and I have not had to resort to the patches on a road ride but I have several times had to resort to them offroad.

Specialized flat boy. About the size of a quarter, only not as heavy. ;)

Patch kits all suk!
They may work in a lab test, but out on the road in the rain, heat, cold
dirt of the road, they fail more often than not. They only seem to work on
pinhole sized, clean holes that are not near a seam.

I think this is the one Floyd uses and he had some good short term results. Not sure about long term though.
