Calfee Tetra Pro. Bought about 1.5 yrs ago from forumite Jeff Weir, it's been sitting in storage since last February when my Kirk arrived. It needs a home. It is in excellent condition and rides like everything you've ever heard about Calfees. Unfortunately it just doesn't fit me.

Available as frame/fork or a complete(almost) bike.

Details

62 CM standard geometry. See www.calfeedesign.com/pro.htm.

Translucent emerald green. Ouzo pro fork, 1 1/8, painted to match, FSA black headset.

Geometry:
size 62
tt 60
sta 72.5
sb 19.
chainstay length 41.5
so 85.8
bb drop 7
hta 74
ht length 20.
wb 101.

There is one noticeable paint chip on driveside chainstay. See photos. I've reduced asking price by $100 to cover repaint by Calfee ($65 based on website and phone call) should you desire. Or I can put some clearcoat on it. A few other blemishes and nicks on inside of chainstays and fork but nothing really noticeable. I could ship directly to Calfee, you could get the paint done and a frame check that would then transfer the 25 year warranty. This costs $250 last time I checked. I believe its an 02 frame, so about 20 years left!

Price for frame/fork/headset: $840 Shipped CONUS

I have some photos of the bike built up (with Campy) if you want to see how it looks with parts.

Given the ebay meltdown on prices for Calfees the price has been dropped for the frame/fork/headset to $900 inclsding shipping in the CONUS.

Any takers??

Could you identify the rake of the fork and the length of the steerer, please?

Thanks

The gussets look sharp. Very nice in that dark translucent green.

fork rake: 43mm

steerer length: 280 mm (I had 20-25mm spacers with Chris King headset and Stella Azzurra stem.

Unfortunately, with a trail of 5.2 and a saddle-bar drop of more than I'd like (no, I'm not willing to do a +17 stem!) this won't quite work for me... As a single-speed it woulda been da bomb! :)

Best of luck with the sale!

Wish I could, and I would if it fit. This is about as good as CF gets. Not so sexy anymore to some? I spoke with Craig and co and the bike show. One of their main businesses now is repairing non-calfee CF frames. Ouch.

This is a killer deal on a great frameset.

Nice bike. I have a 62cm Tetra and absolutely love it.

BTW, Calfee can completely knock off all traces of paint to make this nude or they can repaint any way you like. They do a nice paint job these days. Nude would look cool on this bike. With little invested in the frameset, still pretty cheap.

i just did what vax suggests...got a calfee used here...sent it "home" to have paint removed and frame nuded. looks awesome. and calfee will inspect frame and fork. all in all, nice peace of mind. the folks at calfee were great to work with, to boot.

Killer deal for a very nice F/F. Where were you with a 58cm 4 years ago ? I could have used a nice deal like this.

I love my tetra Pro and would never consider selling it until I'm old and grey. Wait I am old(ish) and have plenty of grey.

If anyone buys this it they won't be disappointed.

Your inbox is full -- but I'll take the frame.

How do you wish to be paid?
