I think you're right, Climb-0.
I've got'em on a current bike, I like them plenty.
...not so sure on the girlie/boyie thing, seems lots of folks are running them now.

I also run the Deda shallows, variety and spices eh?

Including it seems some pros on FSA sponsored teams such as Di Luca. I have heard from an lbs that fsa are selling bucket loads of these new compact shape bars in their line up. I am seroiusly thinking about giving them a go. I have very similar drop/reach on my current bars but I like the look of the long flat section in the drops on these, although I am also a little wary of the slightly flattened top section.

they're kind'a hard to look at, but they appear quite functional.

the slightly flattened top section feels good.

Agreed. I rode on some that were like that (borrowed bike, not sure what brand of bars) and I thought I'd hate that flattened bit, but I found it to be really comfy and functional. YMMV, of course.

PS - that's a cool photo!

k-force compacts are sort of a one position in the drops gig. so if you're a one position type.. yo'll love em. otherwise opt of a deeper drop.
