I don't know.. when I told my brother last spring that I had ordered a Serotta he grumbled and said "just another Trek product".

It seems to be some kind of myth that has gotten around misinformed shops.. that's certainly where he would have heard it, he worked as a bike mechanic as a HS student. Also he thought it cause "Every Serotta dealer sells Treks"...

I asked when I visited.. Trek & Serotta have apparently never had anything to do with each other.

as sean connery once said: "never say never."
that being said, I'd say it is HIGHLY unlikely.
but what do I know. I only said not yet to get attention.

Four of the three letters in TREK are in the SEROTTA name. T R E. Therefore the conspiracy theory begins.

If you call any bike "just another Trek product" you'll be right about 1/6th of the time, which by weather forcaster's standards is pretty good.

Hey, if Michael Jackson can own the rights to the Beatles songs, Trek owning Serotta don't sound that far off.

This brings up another question. Trek owns Gary Fisher, Greg Lemond, Keith Bontrager and Gary Klein - where do they keep them? Is there a lobby at Trek headquarters with glass display cases? Can you push the button to hear Keith speak? Is there a button you can push to make Greg stop speaking? Somehow I can't see Ben in a display case...
