Can't speak for the Deda's, but I have switched back from the anatomic WCS bars to the WCS Classic bars (alu on 3 bikes and carbon on another) and I absolutely love em'.

It feels sooooo good to be back on a classic bar!!!!

I used WCS classics with a 4-axis stem with no problems. I swapped the (flexy ATMO) 4-axis for a bontrager select stem and found, when cleaning, that the stem had indented the bars. The WCS bars are now prone to failure and are trash. I may have overtightened the stem/bar clamp, but I have not yet (after several months) experienced the same problem with the bontrager and PRO PLT short (shallow) drop with the same method of tightening. The 4-axis stem did not indent the WCS bars, so may be the two stem dimensions differ enough to have caused the dents i.e. the 4-axis fit the classics better, as would be expected.

BTW, the PRO bars don't flex as much as the WCS. I prefer the PRO to the WCS.

keep in mind the bend on the OS bars is larger than the bend on the 26.0 model. If you are looking for the short drop in 31.8, the Pro brand has the true shallow drop. well priced too.

Hi,

I've got the WCS Classics on both of my bikes. Tried anatomic for about 4 years and went back to classic bend.

Got the Deda with classic drops on one bike and Ritcheys classic drop on the other. Much prefer the Ritchey set up. Both are using their respective stems. Bothare 26.0. the deda's seem to be much stiffer and the Ritchey drop a bit more comfortable. All future bikes will get Ritchey bars and stems.

snipped: the deda's seem to be much stiffer and the Ritchey drop a bit more comfortable

Are you saying the Deda stem is stiffer, or the Deda bar vs. Ritchey bar?

Anatomic/Ergo blows. I run the classic bend Netwons and really dig them. My main training buddy really likes the WCS bars. The difference to me seems to be that with the WCS bars, the bottom part of the drop is completely flat and parallel to the ground (at least with fairly a norm Campy ergo setup) whereas, the Newton's don't seem to be made so that the flat part of the drop is parallel to the ground.

Deda bars on all my bikes. Mostly Deda stems though Richey makes a nice stem too.

Got the OCs classic and the WCS classic (both in 26).
AFAIK, made in the same factory, looks like the same bar to me.
Shallow for both.

For great performance at a great value I use a Reynolds Ouzo Race stem and Easton EA70 bars...but then I actually prefer anatomic bars. The EA70s have a nice shape to the bend; nothing too goofy.

Are you saying the Deda stem is stiffer, or the Deda bar vs. Ritchey bar?
Both bars have a matching mfr stem so it may be the combination of the Deda bar and stem is stiffer than the Ritchey bar and stem.
