Great wheels. They're no nonesense, if expensive, like all prebuilts.

They're really the same as the Campagnolo Eurus,
with the 2:1 spoke pattern on the rear, very much the same idea as the G3.

they're like mavic ksyriums that don't crack around the spoke eyelets. doesn't make them a great wheel though.

Cosmic Carbones or Aeolus 5.0s?

depends.

the cosmics brake better but the aelous are a little more versatile due to their lower weight.

better question:

fun house or new york dolls?

fun house by a nose - sludge beats the blooze. But I get the point...

I rode west into farm country from my mom's house in Cleveland yesterday. You could live without brakes in these flatlands, atmo... Amazingly, monotonously flat. But windy.

Not that I could tell a good from bad wheel, but I like mine. They climb and descend as well as I can. I was worried the bladed spokes would be a problem in crosswinds, but they don't seem any worse, in fact, maybe better than my 28x Record/Velocity. I've heard of one guy having problems getting replacement spokes...

i think the reynolds are the better. they have a better braking surface than the bontragers.. which are a bit uneven and grabby at best (subtle but true). its the same hub.... the bonty's a are bril and all... but reynolds does it better. i have both.

but its like....vanilla or chocolate (its personal)? i'd love to try the edge ones....

atmo.

At least it's not Rock & Republic.

FWIW, my Racing 1's have been rock solid. I used to have them on my Bianchi racer but when I sold that bike I moved them to my cross bike. They've held up perfectly over a lot of miles over rough terrain and survived a couple of crashes. I like them a lot for their combination of strength, speed and lack of hassles.
