Carbon clear coat touch up

I have a question about touching up a clear coat chip on a carbon frame/fork. Has anyone done this? If so, what's the procedure for doing so?

emory paper and clear fingernail polish, but its probably wrong.....

clear nail polish. I skipped the sanding, using alcohol simply to remove drit and oils.

I usually just paint on a few thin layers of automotive touch-up clear coat.

You can glob on one thick coat, but thin layers look better. atmo. :cool:
