(This is about "pro cycling" so some of you may want to avert your eyes.)

OK, so he's going to Astana. Shocker.

Will Contador follow? Some of the quotes from Europe make it sound as if he's distancing himself from his manager, or at least telling Rominger to pipe down.

The good news: Astana will be at the ToC next year, so it will clash with Slipstream on the road and on the rack.

I spoke with Alberto on the flight back from Vegas. Even though it was clear that he wanted to follow Johan and liked the direction that the program was headed, he could not actually admit that he was indeed almost done the process. He had to delay for a number of reasons, most of which had to do with his tentative race schedule and the structure of the organization, not money. (read remaining personnel) Boy, he is as quiet as a mouse in "real" life, but when he slaps it in the 39/19, he is a beast!

Nowhere near as bad as the ultimate butt-ugly kit, the Cannondale cross team that has all the yellow 9-balls on black. I can't find a picture of it, but it's hideous.

Even I wouldn't wear it, and that says it all.
