Fog, wet rims, remember I said I had a numb brain?

So, this morning I was playing in traffic. There was heavy fog on the north side of the river, I zipped down the hill to the bridge, cut into traffic thinking "Ooo, looky, I'm sliding into traffic at 30 and keeping right up across the bridge, I must be really smart and good at this..." when I looked ahead and saw a car duck onto the shoulder to take a right on red at the light up ahead but they got stuck by the truck that had oozed over thinking the same thing but was blocked by the first car in line, no problem they're way ahead I'll just zip up and time the light....

And I got closer and realized I better brake.

I better brake now.

I did.

And said "Son of a *****!" as I went right between the car and the truck with about a quarter of an inch to spare on either side.

The person in the car may have interrupted her phone conversation because I don't think she had any idea I was coming. But, for that matter, neither did I.

Mental note: wet rims delay braking.
