Sram chain, adding links

Can this be done? If you add links do you then use the original Powerlink plus another Powerlink to add in the extra links? In these situations Shimano pins and Shimano chains would seem more practical than more than one Powerlink.

You don't need to use the Powerlink to add links to a Sachs chain. I use Sram chains without it on my mountain bikes and keep the Powerlink in my Camelbak for emergency use if I break the chain. You just need a standard chain tool to add or remove links.

pins are not removeable, reuseable.

I must be very lucky or the website is wrong. I also add links from Sram chains to Shimano Hyperglide chains so that you don't have to use hyperglide pins to reassemble the chain. It works fine but Sram and Shimano probably wouldn't approve.
