cause I got a numb brain. Wool socks would have been smart. I have to get a camera for the rides. One side of the river, just as the sun was starting to edge over the hill, along the water in dark profile you could barely see a heron sitting there. On the way back there was a half sunken tree trunk just big enough for two diving birds, one sitting still like an anhinga with its wings outspread and neck stretched up. With the sun rising and the low fog just above the water out there, it sort of floated up out of it. So cool.

this morning's ride was the first of the year i was seriously cold. dressed for it -- except should have worn tights inside of knee warmers -- but i was cold the whole ride, never warmed up. damn. visions of things to come.

I thought your title was going to ask about numb hands and feet from bike vibration. I have developed numb hands on any ride after 12 miles since mid summer. Thinking it could be the new gloves that I bought.
