Bar tape color for a matte Ti frame

Any good photos out there, or should I stick with black? The frame is matte Ti with black decals. I should add that I have a red CK headset on the rig.

Match the other stuff on the bike.

Black is mostly OK.

But white tape is classic and never looks bad unless it starts to slide on the bars or something like that.

White tape almost always looks awesome, even (especially) if it's dirty and used and worn.

But black, matching a black saddle and some decal outlines and a carbon part or two is OK too.

wut color is your saddle? to be pimp ... your
tape and saddle need to match.
stem and seat post need to match
your headset and seat collar need to match too. and you need to wear socks that are embarrassingly long.

and then you must never wear saggy shorts or cartoon jerseys, have any mirrored products, and you have to plan all your rides around gas stations so you can refill your too small bottles.

White SLR saddle and white Bar None tape. Perfect set up for a ti bike.

Answers to some questions:

Saddle, seat post, stem, bars and Mavic's (hubs and spokes) are currently black.
One water bottle cage (fore) which is matte Ti.
There's a reason that the cartoon jerseys are always on sale.
The kids make fun of my white socks and white ankles.
My shoes are black too.
I know what you mean about the bottles.

I've seen some Ti bikes posted here with white tape and even brown tape with a matching saddle that look intriguing. I never toyed with the idea of a white saddle before...hmmmm.

I matched the tape on my Legend to my tires...it looks pretty nice (imho).

Cartoon jerseys are OK but only with the important caveat that you must then be fast. The fast riders can get away with virtually anything (except the tube socks thing) and cartoon jerseys are cool if you can ride the sleek ProTour wannabees off your wheel.

Fizik now has a dark gray bar tape, that along with a dark gray Fizik saddle, finally has my brushed ti and carbon Titus looking excellent. I tried the black, then white and then red, but the dark gray looks best by far. It also matches the dark gray of the Mich. Pro Race 2 tires.

I have had two of those "S" bottles for at least 20 years. The ink just won't wear off and I run them through the dishwasher too.
