I think his team did that.

Nice...... At least they could have done a better job.

oh no, stevep, this is epochal. I mean, I am sure he was clean.

This will only be eclipsed when they set up a podium somewhere and give Marion Jones' medals to someone else. 8 years on we could witness a chubby person in a sweatsuit getting Olympic medals... that would be priceless.

Come on, wouldn't it have been better to just use one of the jersey presentations when has was in yellow? No Paris in the background, but that is just dumb.

The timing of this is so fkkt up. So...not that this is likely, but...what happens if Landis actually wins his final appeal? They have to then strip Pereiro of his brand new year-old jersey?

you have to let go of the concept of winning the case. its like trying to undo a train crash by talking about it. once the test came up hot it was over. it doesn't matter if he was clean and is a victim of circustance or not... the train already left the station and be it bad luck or dope he got slimed.
there is no winning.
i wish the kid would have not spent a cent.. accepted the punishment.. but under protest, and done the time rathet than fight his life away. its sort of like crashing on the last day and breaking your neck.

it aint about winning. there is no winner.

besides... screw the tour.. real bike racing happens in the spring.

1 day, go as hard as you can, less temptation for doping... ?

oh i think that's a myth.. the making the race easier or less long to prevent doping.. cuz i see cats 'doped' for 60 minute crits.

so... who cares about doped or not... its just real bikin. tour racin is different than one day racin. at least to spectate. i don't know how the tdf became the end all/be all... or why grand tours are 'above' classics and semi classics.
as a fan i prefer the one dayers.

I like the fair idea! Works for stage wins too (maybe need full body to accomodate team jersey).
