How expensive is it to change a wheel from shimaNo to Campy? The wheels in question are some shimano compatible campy protons. WHat does a campy freehub cost? It's possible right?

Easy. You want an "FH-DA015" (Campy part number), FW9844 Quality part number. $61 from AEBike. Up to $100 elsewhere. That's the Centaur level part. Chorus or Record would be more.
Replacing it is just a matter of unscrewing the cap that holds it to the axle - careful, it may be a left hand thread - the new Record ones are anyway.
You can download the parts catalogs from the Campy web site. Section C of the 2004 catalog at least has the rear Proton hub.
