Sapim Laser or DT Revolutions are good. I use alloy all the time with no problems so I know it can be done. It's up to the builder if he is comfortable with them. Right after you lace the wheels you can make each spoke with a Sharpie to check for twist.

For a not-too-heavy rider using a relatively high spoke count and wanting to minimize weight within those component constraints, I would do 2x front and 3x drive/2x non-drive with brass nipples on the drive side and alloy elsewhere.

Thanks Eric.
Laser or Revo all around?
What about the lacing?
