Anyone see the new levers from Sampson (pretty sure they are DA compatible). I like the carbon on the levers. New easton crank looks pretty sweet as well and at a much better price point than the DA crank.

Yawn.

I am unimpressed. Good effort, but they gotta put their money where their mouth is. Sponsor some teams. Get the stuff on the road.

And fer crimineys sake, hide that shifter cable. Cable coming out of the side is an affectation that only Shimano can get away with and only then because they kind of invented the brake lever/shifter thingies.

SRAM is doing a good job and even they are having a tough go of it against the big S and big C.

1300 bucks for a crank not connected to an SRM makes me sick.
i don't want to get priced out of my own sport...

Oh yeah, that crank is way over priced. Don't think they are going to be selling too many of those.

What does sponsoring a team have to do with the quality of a product?

Yah holy cow is there some crazy stuff on that page..

If I was to buy that DA crank and use it to replace my Rival Crank the upgrade would be over $10 per gram.

Not to mention that crank weighs and costs almost as much as some carbon frames.

How about the identical (almost) Sturmey-Archer road group?

Think IT will get a sponsor?

Shimano is just having little joke with Klingon Death Weapon crank.
Interbike humour.
Brooks, on the other hand has achieved sublime self parody.
The white Swallow? saddle just made me laugh.

I played around with them a little bit. They feel like a hybride between SRAM and Shimano. The brake lever stays in place and there is the big paddle for shifting into a smaller gear and a fairly small, for lack of a better term, button, to upshift. It did not feel like they would be easy to use on the fly since the upshift button is so small. Of course, in the real world, it may be a lot easier to use than it was while on a bike in a stand.

I didn't really check out the crank while at the booth.

Looks good to me, and a reasonable price point.
