I'm still trying to find the perfect bar for my Calfee and am looking to change from the ergo style Easston EC90's to something more classic in bend, but still in CF.

Prices are ludicrous. Anything below $150 fit the bill? What about Aluminum?

Not having a whole lot of experience, do you folk sense any difference in the feel for the two mediums?

Can you live with the Zipp B2 bar? It's a prima thing.

These never ever wear out. They never go out of style either.

Unfortunately, they do go out of production.... :(

How 'bout Kestrel or Reynolds carbon? Also, I have a set of Modolo Curvissima bars (42 c-c, 26.0) which I might be willing to part with.

Can't remember........did you say in the past you had used Nitto Rando bars?

work got in my face all the sudden. Don't you hate that? Gosh, there it goes again!

Okay, Too Tall, the Zipp is Too Expense. Plus I'm feeling a sudo-retro call. The Kestrel is close to fitting my needs, but it too has a little ergo

I should have stated I need size 31.8, 44cm.

There are a couple cf/alum blends that are sorta interesting: ITM Visia or Deda Elementi Glare

I won't be happy until they re-introduce the Forgies with a 26mm clamp. Fortunately, I've still got two spare sets...

Kev, you won't like this answer than....check out nitto noodle bars. The tops are real similar to zipp.

Just installed the noodles on the d2r2 beater. They looka nice! I'll rewire the baby and will take her for a stroll this weekend.

The Calfee's a different bird and I'm willing to consider AL if someone can compare the ride with that and cf. But I ain't forkin' 200+.

Any bar talk needs to have the stem involved too, imho. Are you getting a new stem also? If not, what stem do you have?

The carbon bars will be stiff. Exceptions are few...I use kestrel bars on two of my bikes and they are quite sim. in feel to good ,not overbuilt, alum. bars eg. quite forgiving...not my fav. for aggressive riding.
