Check out this week's Newsweek. Kerry on a red and yellow Ottrott ST. Indeed a loyal customer. I'd like to have a quiver of bikes like he does. But, then again, I didn't marry into the Heinz family.

He has also married very well. A Serotta and a wealthy wife, he gets my vote.

Yeah, they're nice to have but what really sets him apart from many others are his 20 years of public sevice and distinguished military record.

Whole lot of other people have years of public or private service along with "real" distinguished military records. Not sure why this sets him apart. The money does, of course.

A distinguished military record is better than a disguised military record.

Just so it is enough to get Bush/Cheney and the mafia out of there.

Now better than an "Oopps", a shredded military record. Just when the courts rule that they have to hand them over, they "accidentally" get shredded. So blatant that it's down right scary.

What is unreal about 2 purple hearts, a bronze and a silver star? As a VOLUNTEER officer out of Yale.

Oh yeah, I get why it's not real; he had the courage of his convictions to speak out on the war. Guess Cheney and Ashcroft are right. That first amendment stuff is overblown.

Let's stop the political talk, before things get nasty....

For reasons we all know, the forum got suspended not long ago

If Kerry wins, Serotta should come out with a new color- Ketchup Red. It would be an optional color and be quite expensive, as 25 coats would be needed to be sure that it was extra thick so that it would not wash off the bike in the rain.

. . . my Zepp XL handlebars. The oversize clamp area is nice and stiff.

For what it's worth, politics aside, I rode with him for about a 30 mile stretch in the 2002 Pan Mass Challenge. The man can flat out ride. And he took his share of pulls, too. If I remember, correctly, he was riding a Legend at the time, which he had just received from Belmont Wheelworks.

Life is indded good for him!

I rode with Kerry in the 2002 Best Buddies ride. It rained, it snowed and the roads flooded. We laughed and he took his pulls. He is a very nice guy and he rode a Legend. What more can you ask for in a riding buddy?
