Phonak Tires

Someone please warn me-- what brand of tires is the Phonak team using? I hope to avoid them.

Continental is the only tire supplier listed as a "Partner" on the Phonak team's official website (www.phonak-cycling.ch). So Continental's my guess and I'm sticking with it.

According to reports, it's not the tire so much as the silly width they are using. Armstrong also commented that USPS used wider tires in the TTT to avoid such problems and have also been lucky. Running really narrow tires in wet conditions seems not a good idea. :no:

cyclingnews says it's phonak lightweight tubies.. but judging from all the phonak probs, they need a better/smarter mechanic who knows how to plan for stages.

and julich said too high a tire pressure contributed to CSC's multitude of crashes. hello! wet, rough roads...i got it, skinny highly inflated tires! yea, that's the ticket!
