The Arione on my Seven is getting kinda saggy. Did these colors ever make it to production?

Thanks.

They made one each of those, and I have the Aliante. We may be asking Fizik to make a batch for us - stay tuned.

One more good reason to enjoy the Serotta forums. Sacha and Steve posting back to back. ;)

I feel like I have a membership in the Skull and Bones of the cycling world.

Rob,

Agreed. We are quite a fortunate few.

How do we come up with a secret Virtual handshake?

lovely seats. I bet most every lugged bike that doesn't have a Brooks will have one of those.

A prize to the first person who tells me what team that jersey rips-off.

I may have to hold out for the Brooks colors - I sure do love my Aliantes.

As do I Steve, very much. That brown Aliante has an awesome retro look.

Certain Fizik dealers can order custom colors for customers. I know Signature in NYC is one of those.

I would not recommend Brooks tape if you're planning to color coordinate. Under sun and sweat, in 5 months Brown Brooks tape faded to an undescribable grayish-brown that matches nothing anyone makes.

You would think that in 5 months someone else could come up with something in greyish brown. If all else fails, you could wait the extra 4-1/2 years and get a Sachs to match... As much as I like to be picky about colors on my bike (I'm wearing one red sock and one blue one right now), I have a hard time making a big fuss about the saddle - it's under my fat a$$ most of the time which is a blinding white that matches nothing anyone makes or cares to. Hmmm, may be time for new shorts...

Vlad,

I'm willing to suffer for fashion - I'll only ride on cloudy days. And since I wear gloves, hand sweat isn't an issue.

...and speaking of replacing shorts, Ed - One of my female companions on the century pointed out the attire of another young lady who'd just passed us - Her advice was, no matter how thick your shorts, not to wear a thong while cycling. According to her, it's quite uncomfortable. Although she was color-coordinated, I thought it was rather amusing...

Assos, a$$ floss, it's so easy to get them confused...

Put me down for a dark brown Arione.
