I don't think I'll be able to make it up to Thurmont this year, but flydhest and mrs. real doctor flydhest had the new tandem on the bike rack's group ride Sunday -- way nice looking tandem. It's a nice group ride, by the way.

I'll be there for this ride on consecrated ground (see A. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address). I plan on riding the 105 miles. I'll either be riding my lugged red CSI, or my powder blue Klein. I haven't made up my mind on compact gearing (Klein) or not (Serotta).

I know several people who are planning to do the ride. A most safe, enjoyable, and satisfying ride to each of you.

I'm planning on going. I'll try for the full century, but I'm reassured by the fact that there's a bail-out route at around mile 60 if things start to fall apart.

I won't be but my bike might make the trip. My dad was talking about trying it out.

I would love to do this ride or, part of it. But, this weekend I'm committed to other plans. Maybe next year tho. Actually, it would be neat to organize this ride for an East Coast weekend get-together later this Fall - assuming the battlefields are open. Maybe ride 40 or so miles each day and enjoy all three battlefields. I hear it's great riding.

This is a really well-supported ride over beautiful terrain. The Baltimore Bicycling Club does a nice job, atmo.

That's a neat route. Sorry pals. I am installing a new windshield gasket in the Nova....sigh.
