View Full Version : building up the Marcelo

I bought this bike used two years ago and I'm finally rebuilding it and swapping out the old Shimano parts currently on the bike to an updated Campy group. Here is what I'm considering:

Campy Chorus gruppo
Deda Campione or Newton handlebar - the price of the Campione is outrageous, but I like the look of that bar or I can go with the tried and true shallow drop Newton bar
Eurus wheelset
Sella San Marco Regal saddle
Cateye wireless

Thoughts?

Nix the Campione. Horrible ergonomics with campy hoods from what I have witnessed.

Tune/Reflex or Neutron wheels w/ Veloflexes

Thanks much for that piece of advice re: Campione bar. A high price to pay for horrible ergonomics. I'm running back to the Newtons. Thanks to you and all who posted comments and suggestions. Looks like I'm in good company.
