I just bought a Serotta HSG IT for my birthday and would like to start buying the parts so that I have them home when the frame arrives. Could some kind sould confirm for me the seatpost size for this frame? James at Serotta told me but I can not remember for the life of me.

Thanks.

27.2

Dave:

Thanks. but is not that easy. I asked aout the 27.2 and it works with a shim. The size is either 30.9 or 31.6 from what he told me. Thanks again,

27.2, 30.9, 31.6, 30.9....hut, hut.

Thanks to all. I'll take 30.9 as the answer. It sure would be easier if the manufacturers would get together on this. Now I have 28 on my Colnagos and 30.9 on the Serotta. Go figure!

The Nove also requires a 30.9.

I figure Serotta knows what they're doing when they use the larger diameter seat tube. And tracking down a 30.9 diameter Ritchey WCS seatpost gave me something to do during the cold winter of '06... The 30.9 looks a lot better than the 27.2 with the shim, atmo.

The 2007 HSG IT comes with a shim that allows it to use a 27.2 post.
Remove the shim if you like and use a 30.9 post.

Found a FSA K Force Lite in the 30.9 size. Perfect match with the stem.

Actually I was going to ask the same question about the Legend seatpost size. I'm planning my build and how many new bits i'll be needing.

The Legend has a 27.2 seatpost. (I'm sure of this! ;) )
