I just bought this frame on ebay. Built it up and discovered that it wasn't the Stock Serotta geo that was advertised. I should have verified the geo before bidding, but, I was too trustful. As I was trying to duplicate the geo of my Concours, it's not quite right for me. The frame rides well, looks good, and appears to be in very good condition, but, I'm holding out for an Ottrott that has stock geo or maybe 72.5 on the HTA.

Seat Tube Length: 57
Seat Tube Angle: 73
Horizontal TT Length: 57
TT Downslope Angle: 0
Head Tube Angle: 73.5
Chainstay Length: 41.5
Rear Drop: 8
Head Tube Length: 16.05 cm

Includes Chris King Headset and Ouzo Pro fork with approx 9 3/8 inches of steerer tube. It really wasn't cut very well, so the 9 3/8 is at the smallest distance - I haven't touched it.

I can send lots of additional pictures if you will provide me your email address.
$940. plus actual shipping.

An older Ottrott with a 73.5 HTA otherwise seems the same geometries as today? I don't see where the differences are?

The difference is in the Head Tube angle. I've gone from 72.5 (custom Crumpton) to 73 on my Concours. The 73.5 bothered me - I'm an old guy, not a racer.

Oh my, there is a simpler solution than selling the frame. I'm going with the numbers you gave: If you replace the fork with a lower rake to 4.0, you will increase the trail number. This will, at least mathematically, produce nearly the same rake/trail as your other bikes and not disturb the overall design. I'm counting on you using a 23-25mm tire (and on the smaller side of 25, like a Conti) on all of these bikes. That half to full degree can be worked into a bigger picture. It's always best to see the design as a whole. You're giving this bike away when a viable solution is well within reach (if, of course, you spend the money on the fork).

If its the trail you wish to lengthen then get a 40 mm rake fork !

$100 seems worth a try...

Best of luck.

i agree--change the fork and stem if needed. i don't see for routine riding around how that HTA would make it too twitchy to ride
but, good luck--am sure you won't have it long

Frame is sold.

Why so cheap? It's what I paid for the frame. Not trying to get rich here.

Thanks for all of the comments and interest.

what is the fork rake? is it the correct rake for the frame? what is the HT ext?

what does not quite right mean?
